I came up with the idea of the Beacon whilst in the final year of my A levels. I wanted to create a news source for young people, created by young people, and to fight against the right wing bias that currently rules the press. Since completing my a levels I am now at the University of Exeter reading Politics- within the structure of a Liberal Arts degree. I love it! In my spare time (when I ever have any...) I love to go to the theatre and concerts- experiencing different types of culture wherever and whenever I can.
