Our best picks of netflix 2016

Here at The Beacon we LOVE netflix. And we want to share this passion with you! We've been trauling the internet high and low to find the best series of 2016 for you to watch. Here's what we found:
Better Call Saul:

Starring Bob Odenkirk, Better Call Saul takes fans of Breaking Bad back to New Mexico, for a look at Saul Goodman's story. Before Goodman became a quirky lawyer,he was Jimmy McGill, an aspiring lawyer who just couldn't seem to keep his hands clean. the show is set six years prior to Breaking Bad. The series is gripping and a must for 2016.
Fuller House:

When netflix announced its desire to revive Full House, many were unsure how the streaming service would treat the source material. However, the series is dubedot be a success. Fuller House picks up after the death of D.J Tanner-Fuller's husband. now, the mother ofthree sons and a veterinarian, D.J moves back to her famous house in San Fransisco. fair play to netflixc for including most of the original cast. This llighthearted series is one to watch.
Mad Men:

Set in New York in 1960, Mad Men follows one of the city's most prestigious ad gencies on Madison Avenue. The agency tries to survive, in a time when everything is undergoing a radical shake-up. The two protagonists are the mysterious Don Draper (Jon Hamm) and an abrupt Peggy Olson (Elizabeth Moss).
House of Cards:

This netflix original series is by far one of the best political dramas since The West Wing. The story is based around protagonist Francis Underwood (Kevin Spacey), the U.S senate Majority whip who uses every political secret and inch of his power to dispose of his enemies and leverage his way to the top. This series is exciting and fast-paced, and with a new series set to arrive in 2016- it is a must watch.

Friday Night Lights:
Friday Night Lights was frequently praised for its deep characterisation and representation of heartland America throughout its five season run. The series is based around a high school football team in a fictional town in Texas, and frequently deals with family troubles, drugs, and racism. The realistic writing and accompanying cinematography render this series sublime . We LOVE!
Parks and Recreation:

Parks and Recreation was originally done in the typical sitcom style. But what it turned out to be was truly amazing. It is a hilarous study of the residents of Panee, Indiana. The show is based around public servant Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), an energetic mid-level in the Parks and Recreation department, along with a team that carefully works together to make Pawnee a better place for everyone. Hilarious form beginning to end, we really recommend.
New Girl:

Zooey Deschanel plays the quirky Jess in this comedy about a woman who moves in with three guys in L.A that she met online. Performances from Max Greenfield (Schmidt) and Lamorne Morris (Winston) really steal the show. This single-camera sitcom perfectly blends elements of drama into its comedic writing, and remainsone of thewittiest showsever to air on TV. Take advantage of its arrival to netflix and endugle in this hilariously enjoyable series.
